Another Banger from The Jewelers' Circular
The date was November 20, 1912, and The Jewelers' Circular & Horological Review had just released yet another banger.
I've been knee-deep in the archives lately, devouring tons about the history of the industry.
In this issue, they were on the scene in Paris. They report:
"Rubies tone well with tilleul, the leading color for evening gowns, and give it the warmth it lacks. At a soiree given the other evening, one of the guests, a well-known lady of fashion, wore a gown of this fashionable tilleul satin, her jewels consisting of a ruby necklace, and ruby-colored aigrette held in place by a large ruby clasp forming the headdress. She also wore tilleul-colored shoes with handsome ruby buckles."
You Could Practically See Her Walk Into the Room
Reading this got me thinking about the power of storytelling through details.
You could practically see her walking into that soiree.
Luxury jewelry has always been about the details of the story, and here, they painted an entire aesthetic moment.
The Sensory Details Your Emails Might Be Missing
Emails can work the same way, filled to the brim with the story. The moment. The feeling.
The details matter:
∙ The weight of it on her wrist
∙ How it looks catching the light inside the ballroom
∙ The quiet yet very real confidence it gives her
When your emails describe those small sensory attributes, you're creating connection through moments people look forward to experiencing.
Luxury has always been in the details.
Your emails can reflect that. 📬
